The FIAR is in, and most replies by Energex are back. Again it is a cut and paste job with the same stereotype answers with no change AGAIN!

All suplementary (attached to the first IAR, Initial Assesment Report) should now be in regarding the changes Energex have made recently to their proposed corridor.
VETO has learned that the Logan City Council have asked Energex to use the Camp Cable Road as the Corridor, VETO also asked them to explore this option and underground the 110,000 volt line.
Energex's reply was too many trees would be cut down along the road, if they used the road corridor, Undergrounding is too expensive, even though only a 10meter sterile area is required (less than current 20meter and even lesser than the 40meter now proposed). |
